Can I grow raspberry bushes by planting rotton raspberries?

I picked some black raspberries and unfortunately couldn't eat them all before they started to mildew! I was just wondering if I planted these rotton berries in the ground, would they grow raspberry bushes? I figured they would because of all the wild raspberry bushes there are in the woods behind my house so I did plant them along the fence in my back yard. Am I wasting my time?
